Australia continues its determination to fight and reduce the adverse effects of climate change with the federal government’s latest decision of updating its emissions reduction target to 43% by 2030.
Popular Australian supermarket and grocery store Woolworths accomplished a new milestone by installing a solar power system at its 150th outlet in Canberra, ACT in a bid to fulfil its commitment of powering all of its Australian stores via renewables by 2025.
The International Energy Agency (IEA), in its latest report, suggested that the global renewable energy capacity generated from solar, wind, and other renewables could exceed 300GW in 2022, mainly driven by large-scale solar. The combined generation capacity will register a record high, expected to be over 8% more than last year.
The Victorian Government is making it easier for more Victorians businesses and households to avail benefits from its updated Solar Rebates Program. This will allow more households and businesses with up to 50 employees to apply for solar rebates, a threshold which was previously limited to 20.
