WHAT IS GROUND-MOUNT SOLAR?
Ground-mount solar refers to free-standing solar power systems that are installed using a rack structure for on-ground installations in an open space, usually a large field. It is an excellent option for businesses with high power consumption or those with limited roof space yet ample land area.
TYPES OF GROUND-MOUNT SOLAR SYSTEM
Traditional or standard ground-mount solar system
As the name suggests, in a traditional ground-mount solar system, the panels are anchored to the ground via metal framing.
Pole-mounted solar system
In this type of ground-mount solar system, multiple solar panels are mounted on a series of single poles and are elevated at a certain level unlike traditional ground-mount solar panels.

FAQs
The ideal space for ground-mount solar system installations is flat or with a gentle slope up north. The area should be free from shading caused by any trees nearby and if possible, should be situated near an existing electrical structure.
The ground or soil should neither be too soft or too hard as in such cases some extra reinforcements could be required (concrete or drilling).
We often find that farmers have high electricity consumption but don’t have enough space on their roof for a big solar system, which is why ground-mount solar can indeed be an excellent source of green energy for them. We can also help landowners install solar farms to either use locally or to supply electricity to the NEM spot market.
